MAS Real Estate has announced the sale of a portfolio of six malls in Romania to AFI, including locations in Ploiești, Zalău, Baia Mare, Roman, Sfântu Gheorghe, and Bârlad. This is the second bulk asset sale by MAS RE, after last year it sold seven strip malls to M Core. The total value of the transaction amounts to 281.8 million euros, from which bank loans of 84.5 million euros are deducted, resulting in an amount of 197.7 million euros that the company will collect from the eight firms that own the malls. The six shopping centers have a total area of 125,000 square meters and an accounting valuation of 311 million euros. AFI expects the transaction to be completed by June 30, 2026, subject to necessary approvals. Additionally, MAS RE recently sold the Galeria Burgas mall in Bulgaria for 122.2 million euros. This move underscores the company’s intense activity in the real estate market in Romania.
