ASA Târgu Mureș announced on Friday the appointment of Gabriel Tamaș as the executive manager of the club. Tamaș, a former Romanian international with 67 caps, stated that he is delighted to return to football and that he was pleasantly surprised by what he found at the club. He emphasized that he has a winning nature and that he does not get involved in projects that do not have a chance of success. His objectives include providing the best conditions for the staff and players, as well as developing the football academy.
Gabriel Tamaș had a successful career as a player, competing in major leagues in Europe and representing Romania at UEFA EURO 2008. After retiring from active play, he held leadership positions in football, including president at FC Voluntari and sports director at Concordia Chiajna.
