The city of Cluj-Napoca will host, between October 2-4, 2026, a new stage of the Women Rally, a concept dedicated to women who want to test their driving skills in a safe, organised and friendly environment, to gain more confidence and to get to know their own cars better, organisers said on Thursday.
“Women Rally was born in Cluj-Napoca and, every time we come back here, the emotion is special. I invite all women who want to participate, but are still wondering if they are ready enough, to have the courage to come to the start line. You leave with emotions, you feel the adrenaline, and in the end, beyond the ranking, the confidence you gain remains,” said the founder of Women Rally, Laura Savu.
According to organisers, Women Rally is more than a competition against the clock, it is also an opportunity for competitors to live a unique experience behind the wheel of their own car, in a community that supports and encourages them.
The event will start on Friday, October 2 with the competitors’ briefing and the Women Rally conference, scheduled for 14:00hrs, followed by the Festive Start at 18:00hrs, on the Cluj Arena ramps.
On Saturday, October 3, the competition rounds will take place, for the first time, in the Carrefour Grigorescu parking lot, where the organisers are preparing a special route that will combine speed zones with technical turns and skill exercises. Participation is done on a personal car, the start is given individually, and the competition takes place against the clock, with each competitor covering the route at their own pace. Participants who want to live the Women Rally experience without the pressure of the stopwatch can register for the Women in Business class.
The award ceremony will take place on site, after the end of the competition rounds.
The organisers provide the competitors with helmets, balaclavas and all the necessary information for the smooth running of the event.
On Sunday, October 4, Women Rally continues beyond the finish line, with a day dedicated to the community and families of the participants. The competitors will set off together towards the Motilor Chalet, in the Apuseni Mountains, on Drumul Generalului, a route also known from the Cluj Rally. The day will be dedicated to stories, landscapes, local traditions and time spent together, in an authentic setting, with families and the Women Rally community.
Launched in 2018 in Cluj-Napoca, Women Rally has become, over the years, an important platform for promoting women in motorsport, responsible driving and confidence behind the wheel.
